Seaclose Club Champs
For 2015 we are running the club champs slightly differently. This is for a number of reasons including changes in the competition calendar at national level, reducing the burden on volunteers and officials and to look at ensuring the champs are sustainable in the future.
The main differences are that the Champs will now run in July and will act as one of the last major event of the season. The champs will be run in confjunciton with West Wight Swimming club. This allows us to share pool time and officials. Swimmers will compete in shared heats but results will be for the individual club. Finally we have reviewed age groups so rather than the long distance events being run as Junior/Intermidiate/Senior age groups they will use the same age groups as the shorter distance events.

QUIZ NIGHT (ISLAND GAMES FUNDRAISER)
All club members are invited to a QUIZ NIGHT to be held at West Wight Leisure Centre with the specific aim of raising funds to send our team of swimmers to compete in Jersey this July at the NatWest Island Games.
The Quiz Night will be held on 16th May in the Youth Club Room at West Wight Leisure Centre and your quiz master will be Mr Paul Critchley with questions by Mr Mac Herbert.
Please get together with family and friends and come along with a team of up to 6 players at a cost of £20 per team and have a fun evening with a prize for the winning team. There will also be a small raffle on the night. Refreshments will be available.
If you would like to attend please email bengard@ymail.com so that we can pass on numbers to Tim Blackman, Island Games Swimming Team Manager to ensure there are adequate provisions.

The 2015 Isle of Wight sprints will be held on the weekend of 31st Jan / 1st Feb at Medina Leisure Centre.

Closing Date for entries is 23rd Jan. Coaches will have entry forms available for swimmers.

There is a table booked at Pizza Express in Newport on Saturday 6th December at 7pm. It is open to all seniors and pre-seniors swimmers for a social event outside of training. If you wish to attend please follow the link and see the menu to choose your food, then take your choice and full payment to Pizza Express before 1st December (leave your name) to reserve your place. The table is booked under ‘Seaclose Swim Club’.
