Isle of Wight Festival 2018 arrangements
Whilst the Isle of Wight Festival is on this coming weekend Medina Leisure centre will be closed.
The last session before the festival will be on Thursday am (21st) and starts again on Tuesday (26th)
There will be no training Friday night, and no squads or lessons on Saturday or Sunday.
On Thursday morning the festival traffic arrangements will be in place so you can only get to the pool from the Wootton direction – https://www.iow.gov.uk/documentlibrary/download/isle-of-wight-festival-traffic-plan-map-2018

Rother League Round 1 – June 9th 2018
The team sheet for round 1 of the Rother League is available here:
We have to take a timekeeper and an official so that the gala can happen, if you can help please let us know.
We will be driving, via Red Funnel as the gala is in the new pool at Eastleigh. If you can drive and will take anyone else in the car let us know.

Bank Holiday Weekend – Changes to Swimming
With the bank holiday weekend there will be no lessons or squad swimming on Saturday morning (26th May) or Sunday morning (27th May)
There will be squads on Sunday evening (27th) as normal.
Sessions over half term as on as normal.

Weather Update
Due to the conditions there be no swimming for squads or lessons on Friday or Saturday at least.
We will advise on Sunday later.

No Training – Friday
As a reminder the annual awards night is Friday this week (12th) so there will be no training on Friday evening.
Training on as normal on Saturday morning.

Friday 8th December – No training
Due to the darts event taking place at Medina Leisure centre there is no training on Friday 8th December.

2017 Sprints – Entries Open
Although we are fresh from completing the championships to ensure that the Isle of Wight Sprints can be completed to give a chance for times to be used for qualification for the County Champs the sprints will take place on Sunday 3rd & Sunday 10th December.
Sunday 3rd December will be 50m Back, 50m Breaststroke and the 100 I.M. for Boys. There will also be 25 F/C for boys born in 2008 only.
Sunday 10th December will be 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly and the 100 I.M. for Girls. There will also be 25 F/C for Girls born in 2008 only.

Squads – sessions restart at the weekend
As a reminder squad sessions restart this weekend, 2nd September, normal time on Saturday morning.
(Lessons restart the following weekend)

Lesson dates – September 2017
Lessons will restart for Seaclose on the weekend of the 9th / 10th September, and the block of 10 lessons will run through to the weekend of 18th / 19th November.
We will be in touch shortly confirming times / groups for all swimmers.
